For Flight Schools & Flying Clubs

Flight School Booking Software
that already knows the syllabus.

Schedule aircraft and instructors together, sign off exercises on a tablet, watch every rating and medical before it expires, and take trial-lesson bookings on your own website. CAA, EASA and FAA courses are in the catalogue from day one.

2 courses · 1 airframe · trial lessons in the gaps

One airframe, two courses and a trial lesson — instructors scheduled with it, not beside it.

Twelve things it does for flying schools.

Most flight schools run a whiteboard for the aircraft, a spreadsheet for instructor currency, a paper training file per student and an inbox for trial lessons. The aircraft is the expensive part, and every hour it sits unbooked because two systems disagreed is the hour that costs you.

01 · Syllabus pre-loaded

CAA, EASA and FAA syllabuses, in the catalogue on day one.

LAPL(A), PPL(A), Night Rating, IR(R), CB-IR, CPL and the ATPL theory course — already there, with the pathway between them. Teach under one authority or several; add your own type conversions and differences training alongside.

02 · Aircraft utilisation

One airframe, four students, and the gaps sold as trial lessons.

Every booking draws on the same aircraft, so a dual navigation exercise, a solo consolidation slot and a Saturday trial lesson can share a week without colliding. Instructors are scheduled against the airframe too, and a clash surfaces before you save rather than in the crew room.

03 · Instructor currency

The renewal you cannot afford to miss, tracked before it bites.

FI rating, class ratings, Class 1 medical, language proficiency, instrument privileges — every one with its own expiry, per instructor. Reminders fire ahead of the date. Nothing about aviation forgives finding out afterwards that a licence lapsed last Tuesday.

04 · Exercise sign-off

Every exercise, ticked against every student.

Work through the syllabus exercise by exercise on a tablet after the debrief. Sign-offs land on the student record, so the next instructor picks up where the last one stopped instead of reading somebody’s handwriting in a training file.

05 · Self-hire & hour building

Not every booking needs an instructor in the right-hand seat.

Hour building, solo consolidation and self-hire on the same calendar as instruction, with their own rates. The aircraft is booked either way, so the schedule tells the truth about what is actually available.

07 · Course completion

Your school’s course-completion certificate, issued automatically.

Your own branded certificate, logged to the student record and emailed when a course finishes. Licence issue stays with the authority and your examiners, exactly as it does now — this sits alongside it.

08 · Aircraft hire

Hire is its own module, not a course wearing a disguise.

Packages with their own rates, requested from your site or an embedded widget. You allocate the airframe, send a quote and take payment on confirmation. Availability already accounts for what is booked for instruction, so an aircraft teaching on Thursday is never offered out on Thursday.

09 · Maintenance

Service records, defects and checks against each airframe.

Per-aircraft logs for scheduled maintenance, defects and reminders, plus recurring check sheets your staff complete on a phone. Downtime blocks the aircraft on the calendar rather than living on a whiteboard.

10 · Book on your own site

Trial lessons booked and paid for while the interest is still warm.

An embeddable widget on your own site takes the booking and the payment inline — card, Apple Pay, Google Pay. A trial lesson is the top of your funnel, and it converts far better when nobody has to wait for an email back.

11 · Pre-built emails

Every student email — already written, ready to send.

Confirmations, joining instructions, what-to-bring, weather cancellations, exam reminders and post-course follow-ups. Written, branded, and triggered at the right moment.

12 · Pricing

1.75%, and nothing added to your student’s total.

No monthly fee, no per-booking cap. A winter of weather cancellations costs you nothing, and a busy summer is still profitable.

Why flying schools switch

Three reasons flying schools pick Broad Reach.

01

The aircraft is the constraint, so the aircraft is the schedule.

Instruction, solo consolidation, hire and trial lessons all draw on the same airframe. One calendar means one answer to “is it free on Thursday”, and maintenance downtime blocks it rather than being remembered.

02

Currency tracking that fits aviation.

Ratings, class ratings, medicals and language proficiency each expire on their own clock. Generic staff software gives you one “certification” field. This gives you the real set, with reminders before each one lapses.

03

Pricing that survives a bad winter.

1.75% on bookings. No monthly fee, no per-booking cap. A fortnight of unflyable weather costs you nothing. See pricing →

Flight school booking software — questions we get asked.

Which syllabuses are pre-loaded?

CAA, EASA and FAA. That covers LAPL(A), PPL(A), Night Rating, IR(R) and CB-IR, CPL(A), multi-engine and the ATPL theory course, with the pathway between them. You can teach under more than one authority in the same school, and add your own type conversions, differences training and club checkouts alongside.

Does it schedule aircraft and instructors together?

Yes. A booking holds the airframe and the instructor at once, so a clash between a dual detail and a self-hire slot surfaces when you save rather than when someone walks out to the apron. Maintenance downtime blocks the aircraft on the same calendar.

Can it track instructor ratings and medicals?

Yes, each with its own expiry date: FI rating, class ratings, Class 1 medical, language proficiency, instrument privileges and anything else you add. Reminders fire before the date rather than after.

Does it issue licences?

No, and nothing should claim to. Licence issue sits with the authority and your examiners. What this issues is your school’s own course-completion certificate, logged to the student record and emailed automatically when a course finishes.

Can students book and pay for a trial lesson online?

Yes. An embeddable widget on your own website takes the booking and the payment inline through Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Aircraft hire works differently — that comes in as a request, you allocate an airframe and quote, and payment follows on confirmation.

Does it track flight hours or replace a logbook?

No. It records course progress, exercise sign-offs and what was booked and flown against each student. It is not a digital logbook and does not compute licence currency from hours — your existing logbook and record-keeping stay where they are.

What does it cost?

1.75% platform fee on bookings. No monthly fees, no per-booking caps, and free in months you take no bookings. Full pricing here.
