Kitesurfing is taught in twos, over several days, in weather that may not turn up. That combination breaks most booking tools: they sell a ticket for a slot, when what you sell is a course that has to survive being moved. This is built around the course.
01 · Multi-day courses
A three-day course is one booking, not three that drift apart.
Zero-to-independent runs over consecutive days with the same instructor and the same two students. It is scheduled, paid for and tracked as a single course, so day three knows what happened on day one and nobody gets billed three times for one thing.
02 · Instructor & rescue cover
Instructor level, rescue cover, radio and insurance — all with expiry dates.
Teaching kitesurfing means an instructor qualification, powerboat or rescue cover, a radio ticket, first aid and liability insurance, each renewing on its own clock. Track every one per instructor with reminders ahead of the date, because the day you discover the insurance lapsed is never a convenient day.

Self-rescue before water-start, recorded in that order.
Body drag, board recovery, self-rescue, water-start, riding upwind — signed off on a phone at the end of each day. When a student comes back three months later, the next instructor can see exactly where they stopped instead of taking their word for it.

Taster to independent rider, as your own progression.
Kitesurfing has no single catalogue that ships pre-loaded, so the ladder is the one you teach. Taster, course days, supervised riding, assessed independent. Every rider’s position on it is visible, which is how a taster in May becomes a full course in June.

05 · Ratios that matter
Taught 1:2, and the booking form knows it.
A taster at 1:3, a course day at 1:2, a supervised session at 1:4 — each with its own capacity, price and duration. Places are pooled per session, so you cannot sell a fifth person onto a lesson you can only safely teach four.

07 · The register
Who is on the beach, and who signed.
Every rider on the session with their waiver state, on a phone in the wind. Parties booked together stay together, and unnamed places can be filled in on the spot.

08 · When the wind does not come
The forecast is on the calendar you plan from.
Marine forecast and tide times overlay the schedule for your spot, so you can see which of the week’s sessions are at risk before you decide. Moving a booking is a job you still do yourself — but you do it early, in one place, instead of at 07:00 through fourteen text messages.

Attach a waiver to any session and it is signed digitally with a full audit trail. Where a booking has places nobody named, each rider gets their own link rather than the person who paid signing on behalf of four friends.

Can we sell a three-day course as one booking?
Yes, and this is the main reason kite schools move. A multi-day course is one course with one price and one record, scheduled across consecutive days with the same instructor, rather than three separate slot bookings you reconcile by hand.
Does it respect teaching ratios?
Yes. Capacity is set per session, so a 1:2 course day sells two places and no more. A taster at 1:3 and a supervised riding session at 1:4 each carry their own number, price and duration.
What happens when there is no wind?
Honestly: you still move the booking yourself. There is no automatic weather cancellation or self-service rescheduling. What you get is the forecast on the calendar you plan from, so you see which sessions are at risk in advance, and every affected customer’s contact details in one place instead of scattered across an inbox.
Does it track instructor qualifications and insurance?
Yes. Instructor level, powerboat or rescue cover, radio ticket, first aid and professional liability insurance, each with its own expiry per instructor and reminders before the date.
Is an IKO or BKSA syllabus pre-loaded?
No. The platform ships with governing-body catalogues for sailing, diving and aviation; kitesurfing does not have one pre-loaded. You define your own course structure, skills and progression, which is what most schools do anyway. Skill sign-off sheets are yours to write.
Does it manage kit — kites, boards, harnesses?
Not as tracked stock, and it is better to know that now. There is no equipment inventory that decrements when a 9m goes out. Kit can be priced into a lesson or sold as its own bookable session, but the software will not tell you which kites are on the beach.
